If you see your favorite fisherman, farmer or bread baker in our market, it is because they know exactly where the ingredients for our handmade blueberry muffins, hearty tomato soup, seafood chowder, quiche, chicken pot pie, roasted potatoes and apple pie came from. They may even be delivering fresh produce, breads or free-range chickens.

Pies, Cakes and Desserts - Baked goods are made fresh daily in the market kitchen. For the flaky crusts of our pies, we start with King Arthur unbleached flour, cut in butter and shortening and roll out each crust by hand. For apple, blueberry and fruit pies, local fruit is sourced from nearby farms and orchards. We buy bushels of blueberries each summer and freeze the berries to carry us through the winter months. Each apple is hand peeled and just a little sweetening is added to bring out the natural fruit flavors. Muffins, scones and cookie doughs are all made from scratch at the market and baked fresh each morning. The fabulous lemon cake is the most popular of all the baked goods!

Sandwiches, Soups and Deli - The deli counter may be small, only 4 feet long, but it boasts big flavors, like the turkey gobbler, steak teriyaki, chicken breast with roasted red peppers and pesto mayonnaise. Going on a picnic or fishing at the lake, grab Italians and subs to go. Specials change daily or choose from our menu. Lunch is a busy time of day at the market, so call ahead and have your sandwiches ready for pick-up.

Pizza - Fresh dough pizza is always a treat. Whether you are a fan of pepperoni or love a more adventurous combination of flavors like the Greek pizza with feta, fresh tomatoes and baby spinach or the veggie pizza with olives, mushrooms and peppers, give us a ring. We'll hand toss the dough, top it with your favorite ingredients and crisp up the crust just the way you like it.

Custom Cut Meat - As a neighborhood market in Maine we custom cut meat, and often know each customer by how they like their cuts. Stop by or call ahead and we will prepare your cut...thick or thin for grilling, roasting or pan cooking. Just the way you like it!

Ready to Cook - If you want an easy dinner, talk to our deli and meat department. We have ready to cook specialties like stuffed pork chops, teriyaki chicken, k-bobs to grill, seasoned roasts, and scallops wrapped in bacon. Our butchers and cooks prepare meals and easy to cook meats everyday.
